Guard Our Cities, O Lord
We ask that you watch over us in our cities. Fill our cities, towns, and villages with productive commerce, meaningful employment, excellent schools, and joyous events and celebrations. Guard our cities, O Lord.
Build our House, O Lord
Good Father, this morning you remind us that "unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain." Father, we are residents of many houses: our body, our family, our church, our profession, our community, our nation, and the world. None of it has a chance of lasting success unless you build it.
Waiting Is Action
As odd as it seems, waiting is an action. Waiting is something we do. We choose to wait; our choice is our action. King David learned through experience that when he faced difficult situations with no way out that waiting on the Lord was his best course of action!
